Метод бухгалтерского учета, рекомендованный Сэндилендским комитетом в 1975 г. для решения проблемы отражения влияния инфляции на величину прибыли предприятия. Вместо того чтобы учитывать активы по их первоначальной стоимости (т.е. по стоимости их приобретения) за вычетом износа, если он имел место, их следует отражать по их стоимости в текущих ценах (см.: replacement cost (восстановительная стоимость)) на момент составления отчетности. Этот метод учета получил широкое распространение в Великобритании в конце 1970-х- начале 1980-х гг., когда темпы инфляции были высокими; однако он не был особенно популярен, и, когда уровень инфляции снизился, многие компании отказались от него.
